  • About your host, Evangelical

My name in Mungai, a poet and spoken word artist based in Nairobi. I was born on the 25th of January 1996, and fell in love with poetry on the 26th of January 1996. I'm an earphone retailer on the side, and when I'm not selling earphones, I'm writing therapeutic poetry. I like writing about the untapped and my real world, I also love travelling the journey of life with other people through my eyes. Christ is at my own centre, and so my solutions tend to be bent toward that direction. My motto is, put God in the middle of it all.

  • What we'll do

We'll meet at the Sound Room (A sound proof room at the Kenya Institute of Mass Communication) for this beautiful poetry session. To start us off, I'll give you a chance to pop questions about life that you find difficult (or even impossible) to answer. I will use poetic flow to answer those questions, all this while using improv poetry, freestyle and deep introspection. I'll also give you a chance to create your own poetry with the help of emotional guitar tunes. This is a chance to pour your heart out and to get in touch with your inner spirit!! Come and enjoy this intimate session with me.

  • Who can come

Guests ages 14 and up can attend.

  • Where we'll be

We'll meet at The Sound Room, a private sound proof class at the Kenya Institute of Mass communication.
